Went in for some ultrasound shots today. The Philips rep was there trying to sell a new transducer to the doctor. He wasn't liking the wand as much because it didn't fit his hand size as well as the old version which was bigger and more comfortable for him. The nurse liked it and she was happy with the crispier resolution.

I suggested to the Philips rep that they should send out a kit to the doctors that they can grip a piece of clay and send it back and Philips or someone else could make a custom silicone sleeve for the wand so it would fit each doctor's hand.

If they implement it, I'll get no credit as I was just throwing the idea out there, but I'm sure there's a market for ergonomically improving high end medical imaging devices.

I think when I have time I just might visualize this device and see if I can get ahold of the contact info for that Philips rep. Maybe there's some money in it for me.
