I like the teamwork that goes into our family dinners. I barbequed the lamb chops and Alison handled the mashed potatoes, the sweet potato straws and the edamame. Dinner was delicious and I didn't get overstuffed this year. Desert was vanilla bean ice cream on top of brownies that Nikki helped make.

Nikki wiped out right at dinner so we put off opening gifts until later today. We're now waiting for Grandpa to come over so we can get to that. He's busy helping out with the Christmas stuff at church.

I was looking to switch hosting providers. I had been having a lot of trouble with Dreamhost, but finally I got a tech guy who understood that I had been down for a number of days to move me to another server. I made this request what seems like months ago, only to be ingnored. I was just about to jump ship when the moved me to a server with fewer issues.

This has been handy. I was messing with Moodle as I was thinking about replacing Joomla with it as an educational site, but I thought "I'm not getting paid to do this. Why bother?" I'll just have more students threatening to sue me when they don' t understand how the site works.

Interestingly enough, it's fairly easy for all the teachers to set this up on their own personal sites. So that being the case, each teacher can have a web app running on their own sites and set up their own monetization.

Speaking of which, now that the site is up, I can finish scanning my drawings and start uploading them for the new year.
