I got my first facial today. One of my clients gave me a gift certificate for a facial and a massage. I also got a haircut. All I need now is my teeth cleaned and I'm all good to go. I gotta admit, I've been wanting someone to give me a service like this for a while. A few months ago, while waiting for a haircut, I watched this Mexican guy with a real thick beard get the full shaving treatment from this woman barber. She had the hot towels and the cream and everything. I've been thinking about switching to shaving with a straight razor because I'm sick of paying such a high price for these tiny blades for my Sensor/Quattro/Fusion. The price for blades is like buying gas. It's a necessity, but I'm not thrilled about paying for it. I also have my Braun Electric Shaver for when I'm in a real hurry, but I want a closer shave. I've never shaved with a straight razor, but I'm willing to give it a shot. The price for a razor and blades to me seems more reasonable. With regard to the facial, it's nice having someone pay attention to your face. I was thinking about giving the facial to Alison and keeping the massage for myself as she's not a fan of massages. But I didn' t think she'd be interested in the facial. This was also the first time anyone has ever waxed my eyebrows and tweezed them. That shit hurt. I can't imagine what a Brazillian would feel like. But the facial itself was very relaxing. I fell asleep almost when she left me so the mask could stay on for 10 minutes. The vibration of my uvula from snoring jarred me awake. Now I know why Alison has been so annoyed with my snoring lately. I've been so tired and my snoring gets louder when I'm tired. I would be willing to get a facial again. I can see how being pampered can become addictive. I admit, my eyebrows look clean. I don't think I'll get hooked on it and end up looking like David Gest, but I think I'm going to try out some of the other services. It is cool having a client that hooks you up with stuff like this.
