| NBC will not think for me |

My guess is the fact that Kucinich's anti-nuclear pissed off General Electric, the parent company of NBC. He was known for his platform of peace, which also goes against General Electric's military defense contract business. The reason I'm talking about this now is that I've been taking a bunch of those candidate selector website tests. I knew Gravel, who was my first choice, would be at the top of the results. What suprised me is that on a bunch of them, if Gravel didn't appear my most compatible candidate, Kucinich was the top one. So needless to say it pisses me off that he was forced to abandon his campaign efforts. There's almost no chance for a candidate if they can't get exposure. But here is the thing, I hate the notion of paying for Satellite(or Cable) and having big media tell me what to think. I want to hear what a candidate has to say and decide for myself. The entire country is not filled with mindless sheep. I would surmise that the media treats us this way with never ending coverage of Britney Spears. I swear she is as nourishing to the psyche as bag of wet cheetos. This is not the coverage that we want. I submit to you Britney Spears is not important. Her purchases of overpriced coffee and pregnancy tests are not important. Radical Islam will not attack because of her forgetfullness about her panties. The fact of the matter is, numerous movie stars seem to manage to live quiet and peaceful lives outside of the spotlight. These people don't want publicity. However, when there is someone deserving of publicity, such as the Mike Gravel's or the Dennis Kucinich's, they are relegated to the fringe with the dismissive label of 'lunatic'. As though wanting to end a pointless war is tantamount to lunacy. The broadcast media is absolutely worthless as a news source. Kucinich's appearance on the Early Show being interviewed by that dumb cunt of a shill, Hannah Storm, should be evidence enough that the media assumes you're an idiot. Notice that in the entire segment, there was absolutely no attention paid to the actual issues. Instead, this ignorant bitch obsessed about his wife's age and her tongue ring. Like that is what people really care about. Hannah Storm is the worst kind of interviewer. She's the kind that uses her hotness to try to distract you from her lack of talent. Sort of like Jillian Barberie did for Good Day Live, where you take something that could be potentially informative and turn it into a train wreck. Eventually someone with common sense fires these kind of people, but it's too little too late. I mean she's utterly disgraceful. Whether or not Kucinich was actually the right candidate for me, I will never know. I wasn't given any choice in the matter. I'm of the opinion, that I no longer want to be told by media what to think. I will instead read articles on my own and form my own opinions. To that end, I'm going to cancel my subscription to Dish Network. I know they only are the messengers of the content, not it's actual creators. I am aware that I can easily find the content that I do care about online. I don't need the media to mollycoddle and pacify me. I will seek out what I want to know.
